Jill-of-all-trades

In my line of work, you have to me a Jill-of-all-trades. You never know which skill you will need at your next event. I have to be a seamstress, a hairdresser, florist, caterer, and painter. And that's just to name a few. On event day, the last thing the bride wants to stress over is her dress popping a stitch or the caterer being behind schedule delivering Hors d'oeuvres. And that's where I come in. The ever-ready event planner to the rescue! Who says event planners aren't essential?

A glimpse into an event planners' day

Here are a few pictures showing different elements of my business.

The time to act is now

I've been putting off this business long enough. Now that the holidays are over and life is slowing down, I have many friends telling me it's time to stop putting off what they KNOW will be a great business move for me.

They know I love events. I know I love events. But in a recession, it's hard to feel like you could make your dreams a reality. Well... if I never start, then they'll never have a chance to be real.

So, I know I've said it before. But I think it's time I just believe in myself and take that leap of faith.
